Butcher on 44 was founded in April 2020, by four farmers and friends with a shared passion for Agriculture. You will find the Butchery 1km from the entrance to the Sakabula Golf Course, at 6B Boston Road, Merrivale. The previously existing building has been transformed into a top-quality butchery with a highly experienced team who are waiting to serve you with a friendly smile and your favourite cut of meat.

Created early in 2020, the four farmers had a mutual vision of raising the best livestock they possibly could, to supply their own butchery. This was to ensure top-class quality and comprehensive knowledge of the Beef that would be sold to their customers. Having first-hand exposure to the final product in the butchery is what inspires the partners to continue striving to better their own farming entities.

We are excited to welcome Grant Taylor to our team, a Butcher with extensive experience and professionalism. The Butcher on 44 is delighted to supply you with the familiar and exceptional taste and cuts of meat that the Merrivale and Howick communities have come to enjoy over the past few years.
